As an advisory board member to the UT Department of Science, Technology and Society, Bridge360 contributes to the success of this program in multiple ways. As an advisor, Bridge360 helps build bridges for students and faculty to connect into the local community. Bridge360 also sponsors graduate projects and graduate students to identify and resolve various business and technical issues often encountered in the corporate arena. These projects are designed to train graduate students in project management, consulting, communications and publication skills related to the social impacts of technology. Successful graduate students work on specific projects with some of the private sector's most innovative thought-leaders in the Austin area who serve on the STS Advisory Board. At the same time, students contribute to the study of technology-related social change, policies and practices, and to their own research and professional goals. Bridge360 is instrumental in helping the UT-STS plan its academic roadmap for success.
